Quesadilla


Quesadilla is a delicious Mexican dish that consists of a tortilla filled with melted cheese and other ingredients. Here's a simple recipe to make chicken and cheese quesadillas:


Ingredients:


  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups cooked and shredded chicken breast
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (such as cheddar or Mexican blend)
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions:


  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Place one tortilla on the skillet and sprinkle with 1/2 cup of shredded cheese.

  3. Add 1/2 cup of cooked and shredded chicken on top of the cheese.

  4. Spoon 2 tablespoons of salsa over the chicken, and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of chopped cilantro.

  5. Top with another tortilla.

  6. Cook the quesadilla for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese starts to melt and the bottom tortilla becomes crispy and golden brown.

  7. Flip the quesadilla over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and the tortilla is crispy and golden brown on both sides.

  8. Remove the quesadilla from the skillet and cut it into wedges.

  9. Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.

  10. Serve hot with additional salsa and sour cream, if desired.
